Hornet Athletics Giving Day is an annual one-day giving campaign in support of Kalamazoo College Athletics. Hornet Athletic programs help K student-athletes develop a healthy balance of outstanding scholarship and competitive play. Your gift on Hornet Athletics Giving Day will support many aspects of the student-athlete experience, including equipment, uniforms, travel expenses and meals, coach development, strength and conditioning, and/or athletic training.
Twenty-four percent of Kalamazoo College students participate in intercollegiate athletics. K’s Division III student-athletes recognize that scholarship is the true reason they are in college. They commit to a team above and beyond their coursework because of a real passion for their sport. The Hornet Athletic Association supports 18 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) teams. Gifts from alumni, parents and friends are essential for ensuring a vibrant K student-athlete experience.
2022 Results: $128,741 raised
On Wednesday, February 16, 2022, K alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends participated in the second Hornet Athletics Giving Day. 407 donors gave $128,741, including matching funds. Anonymous alumni donors matched gifts dollar for dollar up to $25,000. Additionally, advocates matched and challenged their teammate’s gifts. Thank you donors!
