Welcome to Advancement!
Development
The Development team builds philanthropic relationships with alumni, families and friends to provide investment in elements vital to a K education. These include student access and success, faculty and staff resources, K-Plan and co-curricular activities, athletics, and the physical campus. As a part of a robust partnership between fundraisers and a support team, we identify, engage, solicit and steward donors who make major and planned gifts to strengthen K’s ability to fulfill its mission.
Constituent Programs and Annual Giving
Constituent Programs and Annual Giving is responsible for increasing annual giving revenue; broadening the base of donor support; developing the pipeline for major and planned gifts; managing athletics, milestone and affinity-based giving initiatives; and stewarding donors for their K gifts. We engage donors through direct mail, email, phone peer-to-peer outreach, social media and volunteer engagement. We communicate the impact of giving to inspire lifelong philanthropy.

Corporate And Foundation Relations
Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) works to attract financial support from local, regional and national corporations and foundations to further K’s academic, capital and programmatic priorities. The team partners with the Provost Office, faculty, facilities and the Business Office in creating grant proposals, reporting on impact, and stewarding donors. CFR hosts the annual President’s Community Breakfast to bring area business, government and nonprofit leaders to campus.
Advancement Services
Advancement Services is the backbone of the division, providing oversight of the data, technology and reporting infrastructure that keeps us connected to thousands of alumni and donors. They are also the division’s key partner with the Business Office, as they are responsible for gift administration—processing the thousands of gifts, large and small, that come to K each year!
The Office of Alumni Engagement
The Office of Alumni Engagement connects with K alumni through in-person and virtual events—here on campus at homecoming and throughout the year at regional alumni events across the country. The OAE team also coordinates the convocation and commencement ceremonies, welcoming our first-year students to campus and sending our newest alumni off to continue down their paths of enlightened leadership!

College Marketing and Communication
CMAC supports the College by sharing stories that highlight the value of a K education and thus inspire prospective students and their families to matriculate as well as alumni to volunteer and give. CMAC leads the charge on K’s brand identity to ensure consistent representation of the College across multiple platforms. CMAC produces a variety of publications (including LuxEsto and BeLight), manages K’s social media and athletics coverage, and works with President’s Staff on campus and crisis communications.
