Established in 1987, the 1833 Society is the leadership giving society of the Kalamazoo College Fund. The 1833 Society honors a distinguished group of annual contributors who play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of the College.
1833 Society gifts have truly made a difference in the lives of K students, on campus and abroad. Gifts from leadership donors increase student accessibility to the College, support continued academic excellence and enhance all aspects of our campus community.
How to Give at the 1833 Society Level
Gifts of $1,833 or more ensure membership in the 1833 Society. You are welcome to spread your contributions throughout the year, make a recurring credit card gift or use your matching gift dollars from your employer to become part of the 1833 Society. All gifts must be received within the fiscal year, July 1 – June 30.

Engagement Opportunities
Members of the 1833 Society are invited to events throughout the year. This year’s events include a wine and cheese reception with President Jorge G. Gonzalez during Homecoming and Reunion Weekend. Homecoming and Reunion Weekend on Saturday, October 16, 2021. 1833 Society donors are also invited to attend the Kalamazoo Bach Festival Christmas concert and holiday buffet at the home of the president on Sunday, December 5, 2021.
