Bullying: Once You Start You Can't Stop. DON'T START. Julian, age 10.

Julian’s slogan was “Bullying: Once you start you can’t stop. Don’t start.” His poster showed a bully throughout his development, at age 5, 11, 19, and 30 years old. It depicted aggressive acts (tripping someone, blocking a door, throwing a spitball, breaking a window of ‘Joe’s Beer Tavern’) at various ages. The poster may imply that this child conceives of aggressive behavior as a relatively stable trait. But he may not think that this characteristic is totally hardwired, because his statement “Don’t start” implies that every individual has a choice before going down the path to become a bully.—Elizabeth Ralstrom.
