Life at K is shaped as much by the people around you as by what you study. With over 80 student organizations<\/strong>\u00a0on campus, K offers countless ways to meet new people, explore interests old and new, and find communities where you feel at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone is Welcome!<\/strong> Every K student organization welcomes all students. Each fall, students flock to \u201cK-Fest\u201d to meet organization leaders and learn about opportunities. Do you want to try out improv? Watch your favorite anime? Get into a fierce ping pong duel? Or de-stress and crochet? We probably have a group for that! And if you don\u2019t see what you are looking for, you can always gather your friends and form a new student organization through the Office of Student Activities<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pre-Physician Assistant Society <\/strong>\u00a0<\/summary>
\n\n

The Pre-Physician Assistant Society (PAS) educates members about the physician assistant profession and develops their skills for graduate school. PAS offers access to workshops, guest speakers, and community service or PCE\/HCE opportunities. <\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

Biochem Club<\/strong><\/summary>

Biochem club is a group of students first-year through senior year that welcomes anyone interested in biochemistry and molecular biology. At club meetings, members stay up to date with current discoveries in the field via journal clubs, plan science outreach events and local conferences, engage in professional development and networking, and share resources. ACAPOC (A Cappella People of Color) is an A Capella group for students of color to perform music from POC artists and uplift the experiences of POC on campus. <\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

WJMD Radio<\/strong>\u00a0<\/summary>

WJMD Radio is the student-run campus radio station. <\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

Steel Drum Club<\/strong><\/summary>
\n\n

The steel drums are Trinidadian percussion instruments that are typically used to play tropical\/ Caribbean music. In the steel drum club, we play classic rock, modern pop and calypso music. The club is dedicated to practicing and learning new music as well as meeting new people and occasional choreography. Everyone is welcome to join as no musical background is required, and bringing friends along is encouraged. The organization is all about playing music and having a good time.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

Visual Arts Club<\/strong><\/summary>

The Visual Arts Club is a place for students who enjoy drawing, painting, digital arts, photography, etc. When K students come in with ideas, we help with our resources to accomplish their projects. This is a place where students can help each other grow and support each other. Over the course of the year, we hope to accomplish large-scale cooperative projects together.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

The Index<\/strong><\/summary>
\n\n

The Index was founded by a group of Kalamazoo College students in 1877 as The College Index. True to its name, the publication originally offered a catalog of student and faculty information along with a small selection of short stories and poems. In 1915, The College Index completely devoted itself to the regular publication of a student newspaper. Today, The Index produces a biweekly print publication during each academic term and curates exclusive web content.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Index and its staff strive to serve the students of Kalamazoo College above all else. The Index also aims to entertain and inform its readership through its biweekly print publication and online counterpart. Where appropriate, The Index further intends to provide commentary worthy of guiding its student readership in the most thoughtful and communally beneficial direction.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

The Cauldron<\/strong><\/summary>
\n\n

The Cauldron is Kalamazoo College’s oldest literary arts magazine. It is dedicated to publishing poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction and artwork from Kalamazoo College students. The magazine is published annually in the spring and debuted during a spring Community Reflection.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Kalamazoo Water Polo is a fun and inclusive group for individuals who are interested in the sport. Meeting styles vary, but tend to revolve around learning skills and exercises that will make them better athletes in and out of the pool. <\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

Kalamazoo Dance Team<\/strong>\u00a0<\/summary>

The Kalamazoo Dance Team performs at K\u2019s football and basketball halftime shows as well as other student-led events, such as Frelon. The team\u2019s style is hip-hop with a jazz dance focus. <\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

Kalamazoo College Soccer Club<\/strong>\u00a0<\/summary>

Kalamazoo College Soccer Club is all about connecting people through soccer, offering recreational games open to the whole student body. <\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

Volleyball Club<\/strong>\u00a0<\/summary>

Volleyball Club is a space for students of all levels to learn and practice the rules, skills and gameplay of volleyball.  <\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

Bike Co-Op at K<\/strong><\/summary>
\n\n

The Bike Co-op at K provides opportunities for K students to get off campus and have fun outdoors or downtown by bike. Events are accessible to anyone of any skill level. As a cooperative, there are opportunities for members of the organization to help shape its future.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

Hacky Sack Club<\/strong><\/summary>
\n\n

Hacky Sack Club is a place where anyone can learn the art of hackying and have fun doing it. There is no prior experience needed, and all are welcome to hack and sack.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

Disc Golf Club<\/strong><\/summary>
\n\n

This club revolves around bringing people together and spending time outside while also playing a sport we love, disc golf. Disc golf is a game that can be enjoyed by almost anyone and can be fun for every skill level, and it’s currently one of the fastest-growing sports. There are many courses in the surrounding area that cater to all skill levels. Disc golf is a relatively cheap sport, which makes involvement easy and allows for people to find fun without spending a lot of money. We hope that with this club, we can increase the number of people playing disc golf. We would like to attend tournaments and other disc golf events, and most importantly, have fun.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n

We choose to build a future where everyone, including Palestinians and Jewish Israelis, can live their lives freely in vibrant, safe, equitable communities, with basic human needs fulfilled.
