Invest in human capital, especially faculty/staff compensation

2021-22 Progress

  • Salaries will be increased by 3% for the 2022-23 academic year and all College matching contributions will be reinstated. 
  • The Provost Office led an effort that brought together the faculty and administrators to develop a salary plan to improve our overall compensation. The plan was endorsed by the faculty and it will be gradually implemented over the next five years. The salary adjustments will benefit all College employees. 

2020-21 Progress

  • Approved 2% increase for 2021-22 (increases paused in 2020-21 due to pandemic). 

2018-19 Progress

  • Completed analysis of campus climate survey; shared major findings with campus community at campus gatherings and through email communication; prioritized action items: faculty, administration and staff relations; facilities; and compensation.
  • Provided 3 percent increase for 2019-20 compensation pool.
