Thank you for your interest in making a submission to the Praxis Center blog. Our pieces are published once per week from September through November, and from January through July. We ask that submissions be between 600 – 1000 words unless otherwise discussed. We accept pieces that adhere to these broad topics:

  • Science & Social Justice
  • Race, Class & Immigration
  • Human Rights
  • Global Health
  • Genders & Sexualities
  • Environment, Food & Sustainability
  • Art, Music & Pop Culture
  • Education for Liberation

Submissions may be either original or previously published works. In the event that you are submitting previously published work, we ask that you secure the necessary permission for the re-use of material as necessary.

All blog posts published on the Praxis Center blog are published under the Attribution-No Derivatives Creative Commons Copyright License (CC BY-ND). This license allows for redistribution, commercial and non-commercial, as long as it is passed along unchanged and in whole, with credit to you and the Praxis Center. All featured art on the Praxis Center website remains the property of the artist and may be used for Praxis Center promotional purposes in the future.

Unfortunately, we have more interest in the blog than we have space to publish. While all submissions will be reviewed, we are only able reply to those submissions we are considering for publication. You will hear from us within thirty days should this be the case.

If your work is being considered, you will be contacted to work with the Editor in Residence. Upon publication, you will receive compensation of $200 USD for your contribution within 30 days.
