With support from the Student Activities Fee, each member of the audience received a free copy of the 32nd edition of the literary magazine, which features art, photography, and writing created by K students.<\/p>\n<p>Editors\u00a0<strong>Cam Stewart \u201912<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Rebecca Staudenmaier \u201912<\/strong>\u00a0discussed the\u00a0<em>Cauldron\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0ability to unite students across interests and talents:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are the community bound at the book\u2019s spine,\u201d said Staudenmaier.<\/p>\n<p>Writer-in-Residence\u00a0<strong>Diane \u201cDi\u201d Seuss\u00a0<\/strong>presented the Stephanie Vibbert Award to\u00a0<strong>Erin Donevan \u201912<\/strong>. This accolade memorializes the English\/psychology double-major from Class of 2003 who died during her senior year at K. The award honors a current student whose writing exemplifies the intersection between creative writing and community engagement.\u00a0Seuss said that Vibbert would have endorsed Donevan\u2019s work promoting creative writing in Botswana and Kalamazoo.<\/p>\n<p>The College\u2019s Writing Center Director\u00a0<strong>Amy Newday<\/strong>\u00a0announced the three winners of the Divine Crow Award, which is bestowed on writers of outstanding\u00a0<em>Cauldron\u00a0<\/em>entries.
