The awards include all academic divisions, prestigious scholarships, and special non-departmental awards. The Honors Day Convocation occurs annually, during the Friday community gathering of Family Weekend.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FINE ARTS DIVISION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE BRIAN GOUGEON PRIZE IN ART<\/strong>, awarded to a sophomore student who, during his or her first year, exhibited outstanding achievement and potential in art.<br \/>\n<strong>Carlos Arellano<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE LILLIAN PRINGLE BALDAUF PRIZE IN MUSIC<\/strong>, awarded to an outstanding music student.<br \/>\n<strong>Thaddeus Buttrey<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Lauren Landman<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE FAN E. SHERWOOD MEMORIAL PRIZE<\/strong>, awarded for outstanding progress and ability on the violin, viola, cello or bass.<br \/>\n<strong>Elina Choi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE MARGARET UPTON PRIZE IN MUSIC<\/strong>, awarded each year to a student designated by the Music Department Faculty as having made significant achievement in music.<br \/>\n<strong>Lindsay Worthingon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE COOPER AWARD<\/strong>, for a junior or senior showing excellence in a piece of creative work in a theatre arts class: film, acting, design, stagecraft, puppetry, speech.<br \/>\n<strong>Cameron Schneberger<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE SHERWOOD PRIZE<\/strong>, given for the best oral presentation in a speech-oriented class.<br \/>\n<strong>Esprit Autenreith<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE THEATRE ARTS FIRST-YEAR STUDENT AWARD<\/strong>, given to a sophomore for outstanding departmental efforts during the first year.<br \/>\n<strong>Lauren Landman<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Samuel Meyers<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Stina Taylor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>FOREIGN LANGUAGES DIVISION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE LEGRAND COPLEY PRIZE IN FRENCH<\/strong>, awarded to the sophomore who, as a first-year student, demonstrated the greatest achievement in French.<br \/>\n<strong>Molly Merkel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE HARDY FUCHS AWARD<\/strong>, given for excellence in first-year German.<br \/>\n<strong>Camila Trefftz<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE MARGO LIGHT AWARD<\/strong>, given for excellence in second-or third-year German.<br \/>\n<strong>Anne Nielsen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE ROMANCE LANGUAGES DEPARTMENT PRIZE IN SPANISH<\/strong>, awarded for excellence in the first year in Spanish.<br \/>\n<strong>Georgetta Booker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Emily Kozal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE CLARA H.
