The Princeton Review again is endorsing Kalamazoo College as one of the nation\u2019s best institutions for degree-seeking undergraduates.\u00a0The education-services company\u00a0highlights\u00a0K in its annual college guide,\u00a0The Best 38<\/i>6<\/i>\u00a0Colleges<\/i>, for the\u00a0third\u00a0consecutive year.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0schools aren\u2019t individually ranked\u00a0in the edition released today, but the\u00a0honor places K in\u00a0about\u00a0the top\u00a013 percent of the nation\u2019s 3,000 four-year colleges.\u00a0The Princeton Review\u00a0chooses colleges\u00a0for the book, one of its most popular publications,\u00a0based on data it annually collects from administrators about their institutions\u2019 academic offerings, and\u00a0its\u00a0surveys of college students who rate and report on various aspects of their campus and community experiences.<\/p>\n

“We salute Kalamazoo College for its outstanding academics and we are truly pleased to recommend it to prospective applicants searching for their personal \u2018best-fit\u2019 college,\u201d said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s\u00a0editor-in-chief and lead author of\u00a0The Best 386 Colleges<\/i>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Princeton Review\u00a0student\u00a0survey features questions\u00a0about professors, administrators, school services, campus culture and other facets of\u00a0campus life.\u00a0The K\u00a0students\u00a0the\u00a0Princeton Review interviewed\u00a0said\u00a0the\u00a0K-Plan<\/i><\/a>\u00a0allows students to develop\u00a0strong\u00a0personal relationships with their peers and professors\u00a0on\u00a0a campus run by and for the students.\u00a0Plus,\u00a0the open curriculum means students have more time to explore exactly what they want to learn.<\/p>\n

In extra-curriculars,\u00a0students\u00a0say they can\u00a0find their niche quickly\u00a0in\u00a0the small-school environment,\u00a0allowing\u00a0most to\u00a0engaged\u00a0in work they care about.<\/p>\n
