The scholarships were established in 1971 through the will of F.W. and Elsie L. Heyl. F.W. Heyl was the first director of research at the Upjohn Co. and taught at Kalamazoo College.<\/p>\n<p>Heyl Scholarship Fund Executive Director Karika Ann Parker is pictured at the far left.
