The 2012 Heyl Scholars were honored with a dinner on the Kalamazoo College campus.<\/p>\n

The F.W. and Elsie L. Heyl Scholarship awards full-tuition scholarships to graduates of Kalamazoo Public Schools or the Kalamazoo Area Mathematics and Science Center (KAMSC) for the study of nursing at Western Michigan University or science and math at Kalamazoo College. Benefits also include room and board and a book allowance. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years.<\/p>\n

Since 1972, the Heyl Scholarship Fund has awarded more than 400 scholarships worth some $30 million.<\/p>\n
