Faculty Excellence

Gifts to Faculty Excellence help provide funding in support of teaching, research and creative work. K’s small class sizes mean that students get individualized attention from our outstanding faculty—94% of whom hold a Ph.D. or terminal degree in their field.

“The philanthropy of alumni and others has allowed me access to the Kalamazoo College experience. Without the generous scholarships that have been established, I would not have been able to enjoy the vast and unique opportunities that K has to offer.”

Day of Gracious Giving 2022
Donors gave $448,353 (not including anonymous matching gifts) in support of the Kalamazoo College Fund. Thank you to alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff who supported brighter opportunities for K students—preparing them to shine a brighter light into the world as alumni.
“The K-Plan truly encompasses the liberal arts values K strives to impart to students and challenges me to ask not just ‘How?’ but ‘Why?’ My work with Dr. Daniela Arias-Rotondo’s lab group has allowed me to hone my collaborative skills in a research-focused environment and practice critical thinking and problem solving.”
