The three-course sequence emphasizes reading and writing in MSA and listening comprehension and speaking in both MSA and dialect, in addition to introducing students to the history, geography and cultures of the Arabophone region.  Successful completion of the sequence fulfills the college&#8217;s language requirement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Arabic Courses<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class='courselist v2'><div class=\"course\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursesubject\">ARBC<\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursenumber\">101<\/span>\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursetitle\">Beginning Arabic I    <\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursedescription\">This is a beginning course in Modern Standard Arabic (written) and colloquial Arabic (spoken), and the first in a three-course sequence. The course will emphasize listening and speaking skills, and provide some introduction to the geography and cultures of the Arabophone region.<\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursespreq\"><\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"course\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursesubject\">ARBC<\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursenumber\">102<\/span>\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursetitle\">Beginning Arabic II    <\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursedescription\">This is the second course in a three-course sequence in Beginning Arabic, with continuing instruction of Modern Standard and colloquial Arabic.<\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursespreq\">Must have completed ARBC-101 or placed into ARBC-102. <\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"course\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursesubject\">ARBC<\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursenumber\">103<\/span>\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursetitle\">Beginning Arabic III    <\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"coursedescription\">This course completes the three-course sequence in Beginning Arabic.
