Membership in the Kalamazoo College Alumni Association is open to those who earn degrees from the\u00a0College as well as former students who attended the College for at least six quarters.\u00a0The Alumni Association exists to promote and maintain a lifelong, active relationship between the College and alumni,\u00a0and to involve K alumni in meaningful volunteer efforts<\/a> on behalf of the College.\u00a0Your active involvement in the Association is vital in promoting the College\u2019s distinctive educational\u00a0mission<\/a>, our nationally-recognized curriculum called the K-Plan<\/em><\/a>, and sustaining the legacy of service that distinguishes K alumni.<\/p>\n The Alumni Association is governed by an Engagement Board<\/a> that meets on campus two times each year.\u00a0The group is responsible for the general direction, control, and management of the Association\u2019s business.\u00a0In addition, the Engagement Board serves in an advisory capacity regarding new programs and volunteer opportunities<\/a>, helps to organize alumni events,\u00a0assists admissions and development efforts, and administers the Association\u2019s awards programs<\/a>.<\/p>\n Meet the 2025-2026 Alumni Association Engagement Board<\/a>.<\/p>\n Candidates for board membership should demonstrate an interest in the College through active participation in class reunions,\u00a0regional activities, and\/or volunteer programs of the College (new student recruitment, assisting students with career development, or fund raising).\u00a0The nominating committee encourages self-nominations. Nominate someone today<\/a><\/strong>!<\/p>\n Through the Kalamazoo College Alumni Association\u2019s inclusive communications and opportunities for engagement, we strive to have a group where every alum feels that the alumni association is a \u201chome\u201d intended for them \u2014 a place to belong. Commitment to anti-racism and respect for the diversity of experience and breath of thought among our 20,000+ alums are key parts of this effort. Continued learning about diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice serve to drive our evolution into a more just community.
