1.\u00a0 Identifying and Referring Prospective Students<\/h2>\n

You are uniquely qualified to promote Kalamazoo College and we\u2019d love to share opportunities with you<\/a> to refer future Hornets!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

2.\u00a0 Developing Students Through Mentoring and Career Preparedness<\/h2>\n

The Center for Career and Professional Development relies on the support of alumni<\/a> to provide advice and\/or resources for students conducting career development internships, senior individualized projects and post-graduate job searches. The College\u2019s K in the Zoo job shadow program<\/a> offers local alumni and employers the opportunity to share their professional lives with current K students interested in similar career pursuits. Alumni may also support the career development of current students by\u00a0joining KConnect<\/u><\/a><\/span>.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

3.\u00a0 Enhancing the Bond Between Alumni and K Through Lifelong Learning Opportunities<\/h2>\n

<\/a>There are a variety of lifelong learning opportunities<\/a> available beyond the Quad that you are invited to experience to be informed, enriched and forever learning. Enjoy watching our K Talks and faculty lectures<\/a>, hearing unique K stories through StoryZoo<\/a>, BeLight<\/em> and LuxEsto<\/em> online<\/a> and seeking adventure by exploring our international travel opportunities<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

4.\u00a0 Serving as a Volunteer<\/h2>\n

Alumni volunteers are very important to sustaining the legacy of service that distinguishes K alumni. Alumni volunteers can serve in many capacities such as a class agent, reunion committee member, Alumni Association Engagement Board Member or a Hornet Host. Class agents<\/a> provide volunteer leadership to their class by staying connected to the College upon graduation and by sharing and promoting philanthropic opportunities for their classmates to support K. Class agents along with reunion committee members<\/a> provide leadership for reunion planning and giving during anniversary years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Alumni Association Engagement Board Members<\/a> are alumni leaders who serve in an advisory capacity regarding new programs at the College, helping to organize alumni events,\u00a0assisting in admissions and development efforts, and administering the Association\u2019s awards programs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hornet Hosts<\/a> represent the College by gathering fellow hornets and holding alumni excursions, talks and dinner parties<\/a> in cities around the U.S. or virtually.<\/a><\/div>\n

Your financial<\/a> contribution can make a profound difference in the lives of current and future Kalamazoo College students.
