Guests are invited to tour campus with our student tour guides from the Office of Admission on Saturday, October 16. A tour will be available at 10 a.m. and begin in red square (between Dewing and Mandelle Halls). Self-guided tours are also encouraged! You can view a campus map, take a virtual tour, or pick up a self-guided tour map in front of Mandelle Hall during Homecoming and Reunion Weekend.
Join K’s Archivist, Lisa Murphy ’98, on a historical building tour of campus on Saturday, October 16 at 3 p.m. Learn about K’s campus planning and architecture focusing on the 1920s and 1930s, with special attention to President Allan Hoben’s and Florence Robinson’s (K 1908) visions and landscape ideals. Architects include NYC’s Aymar Embury II (Hoben Hall, Harmon Hall, and Stetson Chapel) and Detroit’s Albert Kahn (Trowbridge Hall), as well as Chicago-based Howard Van Doren Shaw (Humphrey House). The tour will highlight the educational and design ideas of these architects.
