Prospective students are encouraged to arrange a campus visit. Campus tours, information sessions, and lunch are recommended visit activities for all prospective students. High school seniors and transfer students may personalize their visit by selecting an admission interview, class visit, overnight stay, music audition or lesson, in addition to the recommended activities. Below are detailed descriptions of each visit activity. Once you have decided on your desired visit activities, click “Visit Kalamazoo College” to register.

Campus Tour

A campus tour is a great way for all prospective students to gain a sense of our on-campus community. Our campus tours last 60 minutes and are led by our enthusiastic student guides. During the academic year, tours are offered on week days and select Saturdays.Tours are limited to week days (M-F) during the summer months.

Information Session

Information sessions provide prospective students with a general overview of admission requirements, the application process, the K-plan, study abroad, and more. Information sessions last 60 minutes and are held on weekdays and select Saturdays during the academic year.

Coach Meeting

Coach meetings are available to prospective students interested in playing an intercollegiate sport. These meetings provide prospective student-athletes an opportunity to participate in a 45- to 60-minute meeting with a current Kalamazoo College sports coach.

Admission Interviews

Ideal for high school seniors and transfer students, the admission interview is an informal, 60-minute one-on-one meeting with an admission counselor. The admission interview is a great way for the prospective student and the admission counselor to get to know one another. . Family members are invited to attend a portion of the interview, as an opportunity to ask questions and receive information. Admission interviews are offered on weekdays during the academic year and summer months. High school juniors may request an admission interview after May 1st.

Class Visits

Class visits are available for high school seniors and transfer students. A class visit in a subject of the student’s choice may last between 75- (M, W, and F) and 110 minutes (T, TR). Due to lab days, classes in the subjects of Math, Science, and Language are not offered as visit options on Tuesdays, or Thursdays.

Overnight Stay

Available to high school seniors and transfer students, the overnight stay is an ideal way for a prospective student to gain a sense of what it’s like to be a K student! Stay the night with a trained overnight host while attending campus events and enjoying meals in the dining hall. During the winter and spring quarter, overnight accommodations are available to all high school seniors and transfer, with preference given to admitted students. High school juniors may request an overnight visit after May 1.

Complimentary Transportation

Complimentary transportation to and from the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport or our local train and bus station is available to high school seniors and transfer students traveling to our campus.

Professor Meetings

As an admitted high school senior or transfer student, you may request a professor meeting with a faculty member. If you  are interested in a professor meeting, please contact us at or 269-337-7166 ASAP, but no later than 7 days before your arrival on campus.

Music Audition

Available to high school seniors and transfer students, 30-minute music auditions are conducted by a Kalamazoo College faculty member. In addition to the music audition, students will be offered 30 minutes for a warm-up prior to the audition. If you are interested in a music audition, please contact the Visit Scheduling Coordinator or 269-337-7166 ASAP, but no later than 7 days before your arrival on campus.
