Sarah Matyczyn – Guest Experience Coordinator

Sarah MatyczynSarah came to Kalamazoo in 1994 to attend Western Michigan University and never looked back. She’s held a number of fun and rewarding positions in Kalamazoo, but her job as K’s Admission Event Coordinator is by far her favorite. Sarah loves to┬ávolunteer and is a very engaged member of the community: she is a Kalamazoo County Certified Tourism Ambassador, vice president of the Edison Neighborhood Association and a Building Blocks organizer. In her free time, she enjoys running, photography, cooking, traveling and gardening.

Hometown: Lowell, MI

Favorite Food: Is coffee a food??

When you visit Kalamazoo, you must… Do all things social! Get in a group run with some folks from our amazing running community, hit the food trucks at Lunchtime Live in Bronson Park, stroll the night market at Bank Street Farmer’s Market and grab a beer in the garden at Arcadia Ales–don’t forget to try the brisket!

Favorite College Memory: Two different, yet equally amazing experiences are tied as favorites: being fortunate enough to take a three week ‘class’ in Hawaii and spending relaxing porch nights with the best roommates in the world.
