Mission Statement:
The Kalamazoo College Chapter of Amnesty International is an apolitical group that uses letter writing campaigns to draw attention to the plight of prisoners of conscience. These are people who have been imprisoned and often subjected to torture for their religious or political beliefs, their gender, sexual orientation, race, or ethnicity.
