Patricia Ponto has a B.A. from St. Norbert College, and received her M.A. and Ph.D. from Michigan State University.  She came to Kalamazoo College in 1986 from a position as staff psychologist for Borgess Mental Health Center.  She is a licensed psychologist and works as a counselor with our students as well as directing the programs and policies of the counseling office.  Dr. Ponto works half time at the College and maintains a private practice in Kalamazoo.  She brings extraordinary experience in the primary developmental issues of the 18-22 year old in a residential college setting.
