Green Building
Kalamazoo College is seeking LEED Certification on the Hicks Renovation project. The College is working with the architects and builders to make sure we meet basic LEED certification standards. In addition, we will make every effort to meet the criteria required for silver certification provided that the standards we are striving to meet are consistent with our plans for the primary functions of the building and that silver certification can be attained within the budget we have established for this project.

Two Kalamazoo College students have been hired to work with the construction group on the LEEDS certification process throughout the whole construction project. This will enable students to have first-hand knowledge of that process and to be a good source of information to the student community at large.
