Emory defeated Washington & Lee 5-3 to claim
their third straight D III Women's Tennis National Championship.
Richelle Marasigan clinched the match by winning 4-6, 6-2, 6-3

(Gustavus Adolphus) win NCAA III Doubles Championship
Tara Houlihan and Lyndsey Palen of Gustavus Adolphus College
defeated teammates Laura Hom and Kara Smiley 6-3, 6-0 to claim
the 2005 NCAA Division III Doubles Championship. Houlihan and
Palen defeated the top-seeded team from Washington & Lee
in Monday morning's semifinals to advance to the championship
match. Hom and Smiley defeated the second-seeded team from Carthage
in the quarterfinals before defeating Washington & Lee's
number two doubles team in the semifinals. This was the second
consecutive year that the doubles championship matched up doubles
teams from the same school.

& Lee's Lindsay Hagerman wins NCAA III Singles Championship
Lindsay Hagerman of Washington & Lee won the 2005 NCAA III
Singles Championship with a 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 win over DePauw's
(#2) Liz Bondi. This is Washington & Lee's first NCAA III
Singles Championship in women's tennis. Hagerman is also competing
in the doubles quarterfinals that begin at 12:30 p.m.
