Women's Tennis Head Coach
Michael Malvitz
has been named head coach of the women's tennis team for the
2005-06 season.
Malvitz graduated
from Kalamazoo College in 2005 with a degree in physics.
He was a member of four MIAA championship teams with the Hornets
(2002-05) as they advanced their streak of consecutive conference
championships to 67. Malvitz was a two-time league Most Valuable
Player, two-time NCAA III All-American and three-time All-MIAA
first team selection.
Malvitz compiled a career record of 62-44 in
singles, competing at one singles his last three years. He
compiled a 76-35 career record in doubles while advancing
to the NCAA III Semifinals in 2004 and NCAA III Finals in
2005.
He was the MIAA Tournament champion in one singles
(2003-05) and one doubles (2004-05).
Malvitz is currently employed at Kalamazoo Tennis
Connection.
