Kalamazoo lost 7-1 today at the University of Detroit-Mercy, an NCAA Division I institution.

Jessica Mueller had the Hornets' only goal in the loss, which drops Kalamazoo to 3-3-1 on the season. The Hornets return to MIAA action on Wednesday when they travel to Calvin College.
