WOMEN'S SOCCER

September 10, 2000 - John Carroll University (Ohio) at Kalamazoo College

The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team won its home opener 2-1 today over visiting John Carroll University despite treacherous rain and mud conditions.

With 14:15 left in the first half, the match was put on hold for almost an hour as lighting was in the area. Play resumed and continued until 6:10 left in the second half when lighting was spotted again and the game was called.

Kalamazoo returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 12 when they travel to Saint Mary's College (Ind.) for an MIAA contest.
