KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team shut out the league-leading Albion College Britons 2-0 in a critical MIAA contest today at MacKenzie Field.

The Hornets struck early as Lydia Raburn scored off a pass from Liza Brereton in the fourth minute of the contest. Eight minutes later Molly Danner found the net after an assist by Heather Pedersen. Adrienne Beller earned her fifth save in league play with four saves.

Kalamazoo (10-5-1, 8-2 MIAA) trails Albion (13-3-0, 10-1) by four points in the MIAA standings. The Hornets have four games remaining while Albion has three. The winner of the MIAA regular season earns an automatic berth into the NCAA tournament.

Albion won the first meeting 3-2 earlier in the season at Albion.
