Women's Basketball drops MIAA opener at Adrian

After leading 34-31 at the break, Kalamazoo shot only 25 percent (7-28) from the field in the second half while being outrebounded 49-38 for the game en route to a 61-55 loss at Adrian College.

Bright spots for the Hornets included Amanda Weishuhn's team-high 13 points (7-9 free throws). MaryJane Valade also scored 10 points while Beth Reuter added 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Kalamazoo has an opportunity to rebound from tonight's loss with another MIAA contest this Saturday at Saint Mary's College at 3 p.m.
