Amanda Combe earns MIAA Player-of-the-Week honors

Kalamazoo College women’s basketball player Amanda Combe (Berkley/Berkley) was named MIAA (Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association) Player-of-the-Week after her performances in two league games last week.

Combe, a 5'9" sophomore guard, scored 33 points in 28 minutes of play in the two conference victories. She scored a career-high 21 points while leading the Hornets past Alma College on Tuesday, and scored 12 points in 11 minutes at Olivet on Saturday.

Combe is averaging 7.5 points and 2.2 rebounds per game this season. She is averaging 10.4 points per game in MIAA contests.

Kalamazoo is off to its best start in school history with an 11-2 record (4-1 MIAA). The Hornets travel to Hope College on Wednesday.
