KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team
lost 83-37 to Albion on Wednesday. Albion led 32-18 at halftime
and outscored the Hornets 51-19 in the second half.
Kalamazoo turned the ball over 32 times in the game leading
to 42 points for the Britons. Albion had just 13 turnovers.
Albion outrebounded Kalamazoo 39-27, including 16-4 on the
offensive end. The turnover and rebound difference resulted
in 33 additional shots from the field for Albion.
Albion shot 49.3 percent from the field while holding Kalamazoo
to 32.5 percent.
Kelsea Howell led the Hornets with 11 points and four rebounds.
Sara Lappan and Allie Oosta each scored eight points.
Autumn Charnley and Brittany Kemperman each scored 11 points
to lead the Britons.
Kalamazoo finishes up the home portion of its MIAA schedule
on Saturday against Saint Mary's College at 3 p.m.
