2006-07 Kalamazoo College Women's Basketball

LOS ANGELES - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 69-63 to Whittier College on Monday, Dec. 18 at the Tiger/Poet Classic hosted by Occidental College in Los Angeles. Kalamazoo led 31-25 at halftime but was outscored 44-32 in the second half.

Kalamazoo shot 47.3 percent from the field while holding Whittier to 38.5 percent. Kalamazoo turned the ball over 24 times while Whittier had just 11 turnovers. Whittier sank six of its eight three-pointers in the second half.

Kelsea Howell led Kalamazoo with 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting. Therese Demres scored eight points with seven assists and six rebounds. Nymade Cooper scored eight points with seven rebounds.

Kalamazoo returns to action on Tuesday with a 3 p.m. PT game against Occidental.
