NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 72-40 at Saint Mary's College on Saturday. Saint Mary's led 36-14 at halftime.

Kalamazoo made just 15-of-64 shots (23.4%) for the game, including just 4-of-29 shooting in the first half. Saint Mary's shot 46.8 percent for the game and held a 50-42 rebounding advantage.

Kelsea Howell led Kalamazoo with 10 points and seven rebounds. Alison Kessler led Saint Mary's with 17 points and seven rebounds.

Kalamazoo returns to action this Wednesday, Jan. 17 when the Hornets host Tri-State at 6 p.m.
