ALMA - Ashley Riley surpassed the 1,000 career point mark with 18 points and 12 rebounds in the Hornets' 63-53 loss at Alma on Saturday. Riley has 1,016 career points with at least one game left in her career.

Mary Brown added 15 points and six rebounds for the Hornets, while Sara Lappan scored 13 points with seven rebounds off the bench.

Alma shot 39.6 percent from the field while limiting Kalamazoo to just 30.4 percent and 4-of-21 from behind the arc. The Hornets also sank just 15-of-29 free throws (.517). Alma was 18-of-26.

Katey Peacock led Alma with 20 points and seven rebounds. Michelle Dettling scored 11 points with 14 rebounds.
