2004-05 Kalamazoo College Women's Basketball

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The women's basketball team lost 72-58 to Whitworth University in the championship game of the Wilmington Classic on Sunday. Kalamazoo trailed 35-16 at halftime.

Lindsay Basler led the Hornets with 16 points. Angie Neu had 14 points with eight rebounds and four assists. Mary Brown added 11 points with six rebounds and was selected to the All-Tournament Team.

Tiffany Speer led Whitworth with 27 points and 10 rebounds.

Kalamazoo shot 35.2 percent from the field while Whitworth shot 39.1 percent.

Kalamazoo returns to action on Wednesday at Anderson University (Ind.).
