ALBION - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team defeated Albion 72-65 in overtime tonight to improve to 2-2 in the MIAA. Kalamazoo led 25-23 at halftime. The Hornets outscored the Britons 15-8 in overtime.
Mary Brown led the Hornets with 28 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Sarah Sleder scored 13 points, Lindsay Basler added 12 points, and Angie Neu finished with 11 points.
Kalamazoo shot 45.1 percent from the field and hit 18-of-19 free throws.
Jocelyn Zappala led Albion with 19 points and six rebounds. Jaime Fornetti scored 12 points and Vanessa Thompson scored 10 points. Albion shot 40 percent from the field.
