KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team improved to 5-3 in the MIAA with a 66-59 win over Olivet on Saturday. Kalamazoo led 30-23 at halftime.

Angie Neu led the Hornets with 14 points, four assists, and four steals. Mary Brown and Stefanie Salasky each scored 12 points. Lindsay Basler added 11 points. Ashley Riley scored nine points with seven rebounds. Salasky's 12 points was a career high, and she also pulled down seven rebounds.

Amanda Johnson led Olivet with 15 points and 16 rebounds. Molly Lipton also scored 15 points and Kim Strange added 11 points for the Comets (6-11, 0-7 MIAA).

Kalamazoo shot 38.5 percent from the field while Olivet shot 39.1 percent. Kalamazoo made 19-of-33 free throws (57.6%) while Olivet was 13-of-15 at the line. Olivet held a 41-29 rebounding advantage, but the Comets turned the ball over 30 times leading to 31 Hornet points. Kalamazoo had 13 turnovers.
