Kalamazoo split a pair of matches at the Hornet Invitational today.

The Hornets picked up their first win of the season by defeating Manchester College 15-10, 15-6, 15-8 in pool play.

Leaders: Kills - Jodi Pung, 12. Assists - Emily Trahan, 24. Digs - Carrie Brankiewicz, 13. Blocks - Katie Miller, 4. Service Aces - Brankiewicz, 5.

The Hornets finished the day with a loss to Anderson University in the 5th/6th place match. Anderson won in three games, 15-8, 15-5, 15-9.

The Hornets open MIAA play on Wednesday when they travel to Alma College.
