Kalamazoo College Volleyball Players Earn All-MIAA Honors

Three Kalamazoo College volleyball players earned All-MIAA honors earlier this week.

Emily Trahan, a sophomore setter from Bay City (Bay City Central), was selected to the first team. Trahan led the Hornets in assists with 1,150. She also led the team in service aces (67), attack percentage (.360), and games played (114). She was second on the team with 296 digs. Trahan was an All-MIAA second team selection last year as a freshman.

Jodi Pung, a junior middle hitter from Weidman (Beal City HS), was selected to the second team. Pung led Kalamazoo with 281 kills and 102 blocks (22 solo). She had the second-highest attack percentage on the team at .320. Pung earned All-MIAA honorable mention honors last season.

Jennifer Kryskalla, a senior middle hitter from Troy (Troy HS), earned All-MIAA honorable mention honors. She was second on the team with a .279 attack percentage and 98 blocks (20 solo). She had 234 kills on the season. Kryskalla was named MIAA Player of the Week earlier this season.

The Kalamazoo College volleyball team finished the season with an overall record of 14-18. The Hornets finished fourth in the MIAA with a record of 8-6.
