Kalamazoo swept both games of a doubleheader at Manchester College (Ind.) this afternoon.

Elli Toskey (2-6) scattered seven hits in a 4-1 win in game one. Shauna Sage was 3-for-3 with two RBI. Teri Fox was 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

In the second game, Kalamazoo scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to break a scoreless tie. The Hornets held on for the 3-0 win. Emery Engers (3-3) went the distance, allowing only two hits while striking out four batters and walking none. Alicia Dicks and Dawn Todd each had two hits and an RBI.

Kalamazoo improved to 5-10-1 overall. The Hornets return home on Wednesday to face Calvin College in the MIAA opener at 3:30 p.m.
