KALAMAZOO - The Hornets managed just four hits and dropped a 6-1 decision to Hillsdale College on Wednesday.

Emery Engers (7-7) pitched five innings and suffered the loss. She allowed six runs (three earned) on six hits and four walks. Elli Toskey pitched the final two innings and allowed one hit while striking out two.

Shauna Sage, Dawn Todd, Meredith Dodson and Tonia Yoder each had singles for Kalamazoo.

Kalamazoo is now 9-19-1 overall.
