Kalamazoo College Softball
April 12, 2001 at Albion College (MIAA Doubleheader)

ALBION - Kalamazoo lost the first game of the doubleheader, 10-4. Albion had 14 hits and Kalamazoo had 10. Alicia Dicks was 2-fo-4 with two runs scored. Shauna Sage was 2-fo-4 with three RBIs. Sarah Martyn was 3-for-3 with one RBI. Elli Toskey (2-10) pitched the first three innings and suffered the loss. Martyn pitched the final three innings and allowed only two hits. Albion scored nine runs in the first inning and one in the second. Kalamazoo scored one in the first inning and three in the third.

Kalamazoo dropped the second game, 6-2. Each team had nine hits and three errors. The score was tied 2-2 entering the top of the seventh when Albion scored four runs to take the lead for good. Emery Engers (7-5) suffered the loss. Alicia Dicks and Teri Fox were each 2-for-4 at the plate.

Kalamazoo is now 9-16-1 overall and 4-4 in the MIAA. Albion improved to 20-10 overall and 7-1 in the league. Kalamazoo returns to action on Saturday at Hope College
