Softball swept by Alma

Dawn Todd connected for a home run off Alma's Becky Pierce in game one today.

The Hornets managed just five hits in the first game and four in the second. Alma had eight hits in each game, including three doubles in the first and four doubles in the second.

Alicia Dicks, Meredith Dodson and Stephanie Getz scattered four singles in game one. Dawn Todd's home run to left-center in the fourth inning proved to be the only run Kalamazoo would score all day.

Nisse Olsen was 2-for-3 in game two. Shauna Sage added a single while Todd walked and singled.

The Hornets return to action Saturday when they travel to Saint Mary's College for a doubleheader.
