Softball drops doubleheader to Adrian

Sophomore Alicia Dicks had an 11-game hitting streak snapped in the second game of today's doubleheader with Adrian.
KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College softball team dropped a pair of league games to Adrian College today with scores of 4-0 and 7-3.

The Hornets managed just three hits in game one and were shut out for the first time this season. Alicia Dicks had a triple to increase her hitting streak to 11 games. Erin Rumery and Sara Kellogg also had hits. Shauna Sage suffered the loss, allowing three earned runs with one walk and three strikeouts.

Game two was tied 2-2 before Adrian's four-run fifth inning broke the game open. Adrian added one in the sixth while Kalamazoo scored one in the seventh. Shauna Sage had two of the Hornets' seven hits including a double and an RBI. Nisse Olsen had a single and an RBI. Erin Rumery had a double. Sage took the loss. Alicia Dicks' hitting streak ended at 11 games.
