WOOSTER, Ohio - In a battle of unbeaten teams, the Kalamazoo College men's soccer team emerged with a 2-1 overtime victory at the College of Wooster this afternoon. Kalamazoo, ranked 15th in NCAA III, improved to 4-0 with the win. The Wooster Scots fell to 4-1 on the season.
After a scoreless first half, Andrew Upward put the Hornets on the board 11 minutes into the second half (56th minute) with an assist from Brett Stinar. Wooster's Greg Wilcox scored 11 minutes later (67th minute) on a free kick to even the score. Ross Bower scored the game winner in the 12th minute of overtime with an assist from Joseph Arnold.
This is the third consecutive overtime game for Kalamazoo, and the third
consecutive overtime victory. Bower also scored the game winner in the
overtime game yesterday at John Carroll University.
Kalamazoo plays its first home match of the season this Wednesday, Sept.
12 against Aquinas College at 4 p.m.
