CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - Kalamazoo freshman Steven Dendler scored twice to lead the Hornets in a 5-0 win at Wabash College in the season opener for both teams. Nick Carlin-Voigt played 75 minutes in goal and had one save. Tony Pagorek played the final 15 minutes in goal to preserve the shutout.

Andrew Upward helped the Hornets with two assists. Ross Bower scored and had an assist.

Kalamazoo returns to action tomorrow, Sept. 2, when they face DePauw University at Wabash College. Kalamazoo lost to DePauw, 3-2, last season, one of only three losses for the Hornets all season.
