CHICAGO - Ohio Wesleyan defeated Kalamazoo 3-2 in overtime to claim the NCAA III Great Lakes Regional championship at the University of Chicago this afternoon. Chris Vorenkamp scored the game winner for Ohio Wesleyan seven minutes into overtime.

Ross Bower scored both goals for Kalamazoo. His first came 18 minutes into the contest on a pass from Steve Dendler to even the score 1-1. He scored again in the 75th minute to even the score 2-2 and send the game into overtime.

Ohio Wesleyan had 15 shots while Kalamazoo had only nine. Kalamazoo finishes the season with a record of 18-3, matching the school record for most wins in a season.
