Soccer Alumni Swarm Campus in Record Number; Edge Current Squad in High Tempo Game
Nearly 40 alumni from four decades arrived from all over the country to participate in the second Annual Spring Alumni Game weekend. The alumni, coached by their former mentor, Hardy Fuchs, demonstrated a cohesive style of play, earning them a 3-1 victory. The current squad, playing without its graduating seniors, took the opportunity to test players and systems of play in preparation for its fall 2007 campaign. A multitude of chances for the current squad were stymied by former Hornet All-American goalkeeper, Nick Carlin-Voigt.

“Programs from around the country envy the attendance we enjoy at our annual alumni event,” said Chris Adrian, head coach of Kalamazoo College. “This event would be meaningless without the remarkable effort of the alumni in coming together for this weekend. It is a tremendous testament to the tradition of Kalamazoo College Men’s Soccer. Alumni and current players enjoy sharing their common experience at the college. It is a weekend full of good soccer, laughter, and camaraderie. Many thanks go out to the former Hornets who make these alumni weekends so memorable.”
