Mitch Wilson named head men's golf coach
Mitch Wilson was introduced as Kalamazoo College’s head men’s golf coach on April 27, 2012.

Wilson has had a successful golf career and is an active member of the Kalamazoo golf community. He has qualified for several national and state tournaments, including the USGA Mid-Amateur and British Amateur. Wilson has won multiple Greater Kalamazoo Golf Association championships as well as winning several club championships at The Moors Golf Club in Portage.

Wilson was head coach of the Portage Central High School girls golf team from 1999-2003. The Mustangs qualified for the state championships each year and finished second in the state in 2002, earning Wilson Regional Coach of the Year honors.

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of the great tradition of Kalamazoo College Athletics, and thankful for the opportunity to help develop the young men that are part of the golf program," Wilson said. "My goal is to continue Kalamazoo College's long-standing tradition of producing outstanding scholar-athletes, and to build a program that will be competitive both within the MIAA and the Midwest." Steve Tyler steps down as head men's golf coach
Steve Tyler announced in February that he is stepping down as head coach of the Kalamazoo College men's golf team, citing personal reasons for his departure. A search for a new coach will begin immediately.

Men's Golf eighth at final MIAA Jamboree
The men's golf team finished eighth at the final MIAA Jamboree of the season on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Adrian. Kalamazoo shot 314 as a team, seven strokes behind Albion and Alma. Will Reichle led Kalamazoo with a 76. Brad Merritt shot 78 while Lucas Kuzmanic shot 79. Results

The men's golf team finished seventh with a team score of 314 at the MIAA Jamboree hosted at Milham Park on Tuesday, Sept. 20. Scott Manski led Kalamazoo and finished 10th overall with a 75.
