Dan Hoevel, a junior from Okemos, received the 2008 MIAA Men's Golf Sportsmanship Award. Hoevel averaged 80.6 in league play with a season-best 75 at The Medalist.

The men's golf team finished seventh with a team score of 320 at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Calvin on Monday, Oct. 6. Noah Oesterle tied for eighth overall with a round of 76. With one match remaining, Kalamazoo is currently in seventh place (2225 strokes), slipping three strokes behind Adrian (2222). Alma sits in eighth place, 30 strokes (2255) behind the Hornets. The men's golf team finished seventh with a team score of 315 at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Hope on Monday, Sept. 29. Noah Oesterle led Kalamazoo with a 76. Dan Hoevel and Jordan Fairbanks each shot a 79. With two matches remaining in the MIAA season, Kalamazoo looks to hold on to sixth place. Golf teams announce new home courses
The Kalamazoo College men's and women's golf teams will call Milham Park and Eastern Hills Golf Courses home for the 2008-09 seasons. The teams will be able to practice and host events at the two courses.
