KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team suffered a heart wrenching 84-82 defeat to Albion College in double overtime tonight in one of the most exciting games in Anderson Athletic Center in a long time.

The score was even 60-60 at the end of regulation. The Hornets fell behind quickly in the first overtime and trailed by five points three different times. Kalamazoo battled back and a desperation three-point attempt from the left wing by senior captain Steve Thwaites swished through the net as the buzzer sounded ending the first overtime period tied at 73-73.

Kalamazoo fell behind by five again in the second overtime before a Thwaites three pointer and a Brad Phillips layup knotted the score at 82-82.
