Men's Basketball falls at Calvin

The Calvin College offense was too much to handle as Kalamazoo suffered a 91-69 loss to the league-leading Knights in Grand Rapids tonight.

Calvin jumped out to an early lead and took a 48-30 edge into halftime.

Calvin shot 47 percent from the field including 55 percent from three-point range. Kalamazoo was held to 44 percent from the field and 43 percent from behind the three-point line. The Hornets were outrebounded 46-28 and both teams had 22 turnovers.

Brad Phillips led the Hornet offense with 15 points. Adam Verseput scored 12 with five rebounds. Steve Thwaites added 11 while Dirk Rhinehart chipped in 10.
